Germany’s €30bn rail and transport giant Deutsche Bahn selects Syncron solution for improved service parts management

The Syncron Global Inventory Management solution will be implemented across Deutsche Bahn’s parts supply chain to establish a more effective service parts planning process.

DÜSSELDORF & FRANKFURT, September 8, 2010 – Syncron International AB – Europe’s fastest growing supply chain software vendor, Syncron, will implement its Global Inventory Management solution to establish a best-in-class parts planning process across Deutsche Bahn’s entire spare parts supply chain in Germany.

The solution will provide network-wide optimization and visibility for all service parts inventory across Deutsche Bahn’s over 100 stock locations, providing greater efficiency in forecasting, replenishment and distribution processes to ensure the highest service levels and vehicle uptime.

Deutsche Bahn began an extensive selection process with leading supply chain software vendors, before selecting Syncron as their partner. The implementation of a test system of Syncron’s Global Inventory Management solution has already begun.
