Konecranes to Implement Syncron Global Inventory Management and Global Price Management Solutions

Konecranes will improve worldwide service parts inventory planning and parts pricing capabilities and strategies with an integrated parts management process.

Syncron, a global leader in supply chain software solutions, today announced that Finland-based Konecranes PLC, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of cranes and lifting equipment, will implement both Syncron Global Inventory Management and Syncron Global Price Management solutions to optimize and integrate its critical service parts processes and strengthen its global aftermarket strategy.

Syncron Global Inventory Management supports manufacturers and distributors with advanced planning, replenishment and optimization of parts inventory across a global supply chain to eliminate excess and obsolete inventory, raise customer service levels, and operate significantly more efficient inventory management processes.

The Syncron Global Price Management solution delivers effective price strategies and structured processes for the service parts business. The solution supports each step of the service parts pricing process with a defined framework for price setting, execution, communication and analysis providing advanced analytical capabilities, multiple pricelist and multiple currency capabilities. The functionality enables companies to adopt a smarter, more sophisticated parts pricing approach to support global sales and distribution channels.

“Creating one single integrated system for parts planning and pricing enables us to effectively optimize inventory levels and raise customer service to ensure parts are available and correctly priced across each sales channel and in each market that we support,” said Juha Pankakoski, VP and Head of Business Unit Parts, Konecranes. “With improved parts availability and optimized pricing we will be even more competitive in growing market share and revenue for the service parts business.

“We are very pleased that Konecranes selected Syncron Global Inventory Management and Global Price Management solutions to support their service parts objectives,” said Anders Grudén, CEO, Syncron International.
